Celebrate! It's Back to School!

How is it possible that we are talking about back to school already?  Didn't we just start summer vacation...sure seems that way to me!  I love having my kiddos around, but there is just something about the start of a new school year that gets me excited.  I'm not sure if it's the shopping opportunity, the organizing, or the smell of fresh supplies, but I love Back to School time, and I love a chance to celebrate!  What better way to celebrate then to include my friends in the fun.

There is so much to be excited about this year, lots of changes and new adventures.  GiGi has asked; and we decided it was for the best; to be in traditional school.  Which means lunches 5 days a week! And lunches geared more towards a tween and not a grade schooler.  LiLi will still be home with me (homeschooling), but will be at school on Mondays...so cute lunches for her!

I've been going through all my lunch making supplies and adding more then a few things, but I always seem to go back to my favorites.  That's what this giveaway is made up of, some of my favorite bento creating tools.

This includes 2 sets of re-usable silverware, green silicone liners, multi colored picks, Neapolitan silicon liners, three easy lock containers, 2 re-usable ice sheets, apple, star and scalloped cookie cutters and 2 re-usable snack bags.

These are things I use really every time I pack a lunch, things that are kid  tested, and Lunch Lady approved!

  1. I love your lunch box ideas. I am trying to adapt them to a tween boy who still loves surprises in his lunches. Excited to hear Gigi is going to try traditional school. I will miss seeing her sweet face at ACA. Glad we still get to see you and Lili. I also can't believe how fast this summer has gone. Was out buying curriculum today for my boy to homeschool today and was thinking why am I doing this so soon. Anyway love your blog.

    1. Thanks Liza....haven't done a thing about curriculum, horrible I know! It looks like Gigi will get every other Monday off for some holiday or another so you'll probably see her around a little;)

    2. it'll be nice to see her when she gets to come. I just went this week and picked up some curriculum to start Stephen off with. I really could use another couple of months of summer vacation before the mom taxi bus starts up. But we have already started it already with starting football and 10 hours of practice a week. Ugh.

  4. You are the reason I started making better lunches for my son. He is 8 now and still loves for me to do something special that no one else at school gets. Thank you for the great ideas...especially the ideas "outside of the box".

  5. Why continental us only if USPS? Unless you are sending it express mail it is the same price?

    1. Heather...I didn't check into rates. I just know that if someone in the UK or Europe wins it'll cost a fortune, so I assumed (and we know what they say about that! LOL) that it would be the same for Alaksa and Hawaii...are you in one of those? I'd happily mail to all 50 states (better check it out quick so I can change the "rules!")

  17. Thank you for showing Alaska (and Hawaii) some love. I only have a couch but I do work in tourism and can hook you up :) If you ship in a flat rate priority box it is the same to all 50 states plus DC ... although not sure about Puerto Rico :)

  31. I too have a LiLi... starting first grade! She's a very picky eating and has peanut/tree nut allergies too ~ which makes it very difficult for me to find things she likes for packed lunches. I think she'd love the cookie-cutter sandwich idea or colored picks for cheese cubes, cut fruit, etc. Thanks for the inspiration!
